What is the ALCDP?

Introducing ADI’s Actuarial Leadership and Club Development Program (ALCDP)! After years of preparation, we've expanded the program to double down on skill development, increasing the focus on emotional intelligence, communication among leadership teams, and project management. These skills equip actuarial leaders with the tools needed to succeed beyond their college years. Our focus has been on building effective systems and resources that ensure your club's long-term success. This program is ideal for professors seeking to enhance the resources, retention, and attraction of students to their actuarial program. It's also perfect for actuarial club presidents or aspiring presidents who want to become the best leaders they can be while assisting students in their programs. The ALCDP starts with a kick-off event in January followed by biweekly sprints throughout the rest of the semester. These sprints include summaries of the students’ current initiatives and their progress toward their goals. At the end of the semester, all participating groups will create a final presentation that showcases all the work they did during the semester. This past ALCDP cycle, we had students from around the country participate in this program. At the end of the semester, participants gathered in Chicago, IL for a ceremony which celebrated all the accomplishments of everyone who participated in the program. This ceremony is a great way to network and meet other actuarial students from across the country.

The Actuarial Leadership and Club Development Program (ALCDP) is the founding product of the Actuarial Development Institute. This program helps student leaders around the US create goals meant to build a better club culture and foster student success. This semester-long program is broken into biweekly sprints where participating students create summaries of their current initiatives and their progress toward their goals with a final presentation showcasing this information. Follow our social media for information in the upcoming months.
